Technology is a reality in our daily lives, in the workplace, in the health sector, in communication, higher education, and/or in entertainment. It has even reached the classrooms of the schools that are striving to provide their students with a quality education for the future. This is the case of Saint George’s School that with its innovation programme, seeks not only to foster creativity but to supply the tools necessary to develop this.
The School sees technology as a means of enabling knowledge, research, the solving of problems and the development of creativity. The teachers now have at their disposal, 3D printers as a technological tool that can turn ideas and projects into physical objects.
There has been a very positive response to the printers that have generated changes to the ways that the physical world can be viewed. Furthermore, the students can use their creativity and imagination.
Another benefit of the printers is that they promote group activity making learning more leisurely and collaborative.
Teachers and students alike now have a further means to help resolve the paradigms that are faced daily.
We will soon have more surprises to help develop ingenuity and creativity!
