On 18th September La República newspaper published (digital edition) that the Sapiens Research Group had placed Saint George’s School at the top of the 10 best performing schools in the country.
This ranking not only considers the results of the state exams but also the quality index that the schools offer. The quality and the international achievements are assessed every year leading to a continuous striving for improvement by each school. SGS is thus classified as one of the best schools in the country. In the words of Myriam Copete, the deputy head: ‘One of the features of our school is that we foster citizens of the world who have a sense of belonging to their country.’
Year after year, the School reviews its procedure and performance to continue to enhance the quality standards by adapting to change and innovation.
Carlos Peña, the director of the Sapiens Research Group acknowledges that the schools in the top categories are there because of their outstanding performance. Nevertheless, he is not overlooking the other schools that are continuously trying to improve. One of the conclusions reached by the Group, is that number of schools assessed is higher in ‘Calendario B’ than in ‘Calendario A’. Of the 350 schools evaluated over the years in ‘Calendario B,’ the proportion is 40% as opposed to 5% in ‘Calendario A.’
On the other hand of the 13.424 schools in Colombia, only 834 obtained the necessary qualifications. Nonsoque C. We obtain these results due to the hard work, the perseverance and the experience that we have in educating students with academic excellence and integrity. This would not be possible without the commitment of the students, parents and teachers alike.
