According to the ranking of the Sapiens Research Group, published on the 3rd April in the Revista Semana of the Republica Newspaper, Saint George’s School is once again among the best four schools in Colombia with a rating of AAA+.
The rankings are published annually at the start of the first term and rate the best schools overall and by subject – natural sciences, English, critical reading, mathematics, social sciences, and citizenship.
A total of 37 schools were assessed: 22 in Bogotá, 5 in Cali, 3 in Medellin and 3 in Barranquilla. Saint George’s School obtained 4th place and 7th in two subjects (Revista Semana).
The evaluation of the educational establishments took into account aspects such as: category, quality and international accreditation. There was likewise an emphasis on the subjects evaluated by the state examinations.
Ranking is done using an algorithm devised by Sapiens Research, which measures each school and then takes the best 100 results. Thus, schools with the best results for each subject evaluated are those that are above the line considered the best overall.
The Sapiens Research Group is a consulting firm with more than 15 years of experience in publishing different types of studies and classifications derived from the analysis of research and education. In the words of the director Carlos Pena: ‘These lists highlight the quality and excellence applied by each school in order for the students to achieve such high levels of performance that contribute to the motivation and recognition of the establishment.’ (The Republica Newspaper)
