Saint George’s School winner of the National Academic Economics Competition.
The eleventh-grade students, Valeria Garcia, Juanita Ceballos, Juan Andres Sanchez and Juan Mateo Rodriguez were the winners of the National Academic Economics Competition for schools. They were accompanied by Miss Andrea Isaza and guided by Juan Diego Mayorga a former student and Economics student, who was the School Sponsor for this event.
The students had to answer various questions on economic behaviour, mathematics, social sciences and economic data (interpretation and graphic analysis). This is the first year the competition has been opened to schools as it is normally aimed at universities.
Congratulations to our students for their outstanding performance. They will receive a voucher of one million pesos for a brand of their choice, to be shared among the four of them. The award ceremony will take place next year in the premises of the Banco de la República, the sponsors of this event.
